Abstract
Abstract Highly efficient and general method for synthesis of optically active tertiary allylic alcohols (1) starting from readily available optically active γ-trimethylsilyl-β,γ-epoxy tertiary alcohols (3), and the application of the reaction product to the synthesis of arbaprostil are described.
