AbstractThe Au‐catalyzed chiral cycloisomerization of ortho‐(alkynyl)styrenes leads to enantioenriched indenes (II), whilst the similar reaction in the presence of water or methanol affords hydroxy and methoxy derivatives (III) and (V).
