Abstract

AbstractThis new gold‐catalyzed intramolecular allylic alkylation reaction provides chiral chromans for the synthesis of α‐tocopherol [vitamin E (IVc)], γ‐tocopherol (IVe), and its analogs (VII), as well as trolox (VIII) and (S)‐LLU‐a (IX) via a following metathesis reaction.
