Abstract
AbstractThe synthetic utility of 4‐aminoquinoline‐3‐carbaldehyde (I) for the synthesis of a variety of benzonaphthyridine derivatives via Friedlaender condensation reactions with reactive methylene compounds or cyclic ketones under acidic, basic and neutral conditions is demonstrated.
