Abstract
AbstractThe title complexes (III) are obtained by treatment of the hydride complexes (I) with hexamethylsilacyclopropane (II) at 25 °C. Detailed experiments of this reaction show that the silylene transfer from (II) to (I) is quantitative and appears to proceed by radical chain ring opening and olefin elimination to yield a transient silyl radical.
