AbstractPure α‐CoB4O7 is synthesized by a boric acid flux method from a mixture of Co(OAc)2 and H3BO3 (autoclave, 220 °C, 5 d) followed by step‐wise annealing of the resulting new cobalt polyborate up to 800 °C.
