Abstract

AbstractIn view of aspects such as the leaching behavior of spent nuclear fuel stored in an oxidative environment as well as the potential intermixing of fission products (Pu and minor actinides) with U3O8 as the most stable uranium oxide, the latter is tested by fixing an aqueous solutions of UO22+ and Am3+ cations in a 90:10 atomic ratio at a weak‐acidic ion‐exchanger resin.
