AbstractSuperoxide reacts with CCl4 in aprotic solvents [condition (A)] to yield an active peroxy species CClr‐COO", which can oxidize olefins (I), (III), (V), (VII) or (IX) to the corresponding epoxides (II) [either from (Ia) or from (Ib)], (IV), (VI), (VIII), or (X) as the main products.
