AbstractEnantioenriched complexes incorporating cyclometalated NHC ligands catalyze (Z)‐ and enantioselective asymmetric ring opening/cross metathesis reactions of norbornenes and cyclobutenes, and the difference in ring strain between these two compounds leads to different propagating species in the catalytic cycle.
