AbstractDiene‐diones of type (I) undergo an 1,6‐addition/Nazarov cyclization/elimination reaction in the presence of Hatkeyama′s chiral cinchona alkaloid catalyst to give functionalized cyclopentenones in good yields and enantioselectivities.
