Abstract
AbstractElectroreduction (cyclic voltammetry, controlled‐potential electrolysis) of 2‐bromoisobutyramides (I) and (V) leads to the carbanion (Me2C‐CO‐NH‐R)‐ which in the absence of acid or CO2 is self‐protonated by the acidic NH proton of the parent compound to give Me2CH‐CO‐NH‐R and (Br‐CMe2‐CO‐N‐R)‐.
