Abstract
AbstractThe specific dissolution rate of pure MnO, prepared by decomposition of MnCO3 above 900 °C in an H2/N2 atmosphere, is determined to be 4·10‐5 mol s‐1 m‐2at pH 2 and 30 °C. This rate is similar to that for ionic MgO and two orders of magnitude faster than for CoO.
