AbstractThe lanthanoid chromites LnCrO3 (Ln: Y, La, Pr, Sm, Gd, Dy, Ho, Yb, Lu) are prepared by hydrothermal treatment (autoclave, 320—380 °C, 48 h) of an amorphous mixed‐metal hydroxide precursor precipitated from aqueous KOH solutions of LnCl3 or Ln(NO3)3 and Cr(NO3)3 (70 °C, 2—3 d).
