Abstract

AbstractRu catalysts supported on SiO2, TiO2, γ‐Al2O3, or MgO are prepared by impregnation of the support with solutions of Ru3(CO)12, H4Ru4(CO)12, or H2Ru6(CO)18 in hexane and the activities, selectivities, and stabilities of the resulting catalysts are measured for CO hydrogenation at 275 °C. It is found that catalyst performance strongly depends on the nature of the support.
