Abstract

Abstract(Ia) was prepared by reaction of RhCl3·3 H2O and (S)‐mandelic acid in aqueous solution in the presence of DMF (80°C, 6h) followed by recrystallization from EtOH, and (Ib) from RhCl3·3 H2O and the corresponding acid in 1:1 H2O/EtOH (reflux, 1 h), followed by extraction with THF.
