AbstractAn iridium complex that draws its chirality exclusively from an Ir‐centered octahedral stereocenter is described as highly efficient catalyst for the asymmetric Michael addition of indoles to nitroacrylic esters to give products with quaternary stereocenters with excellent stereoselectivity.
