Abstract

AbstractAddition of the thiosulfenyl chlorides (I) to carbon monosulfide (II) ‐ generated by dissociation of CS2 by a high voltage AC discharge ‐ yields the title compounds (III), which are chlorinated to give the dichloromethanesulfenyl chlorides (V) (in the case of (Va), (VI) is obtained additionally in 12% yield).
