Abstract
AbstractMBr3F10 (M: Rb, Cs) and RbBr2F7 are obtained in the reaction of equimolar amounts of MCl and BrF3 (prepared by passing gaseous F2 through liquid Br2) using Freon‐113 as both a moisture protection and coolant for the exothermic reaction (PTFE tube, 98, 97, and 91% yield, respectively).
