Abstract
AbstractRearrangement of hydroxymethyl glycals (I) leads to glycosyl trichloroacetamidates (III) as a mixture of α‐ and β‐anomers which are versatile precursors for the synthesis of several biologically active azasugars such as isofagomine (IV).
