AbstractFirst enantioselective calcium‐catalyzed addition reaction of trifluoropyruvate (III) with various styrene derivatives (II) provides α‐hydroxy‐α‐trifluoromethyl esters (IV) in good yields and high enantioselectivities at low catalyst loading.
