AbstractHigh rate anodic dissolution of Fe in a H2SO4 elec‐ trolyte leads to formation of a porous salt film on the electrode surface caused by a supersaturation in ferrous sulfate near the electrode surface (the maximum supersaturation concentration being l.8‐2.6 times greater than the saturation value).
