AbstractTemp.‐variable spectroscopic examination (1H, 13C NMR, IR) of the reaction of pyridine (I) with acid halides such as (II) and anhydrides ((CX3‐CO)2O; X: ‐Cl, ‐F) indicates the reversible and regiospecific formation of species (III).
