AbstractThe resorcylic acid lactone L‐783,277 (V), a potent and irreversible inhibitor of nitrogen‐activated protein kinase, is prepared via macrocyclization of alkyne (II) followed by a Lindlar‐type hydrogenation and a subsequent deprotection of compound (IV) with BCl3 as key steps.
