AbstractThe chiral bifunctional reagent (II) and its enantiomer are developed and successfully applied in the enantioselective synthesis of anti‐ (IV) and syn‐1,3‐diols, respectively, in high yields via aldehyde allylation followed by diastereoselective decarboxylative allylic etherification reaction.
