Abstract

AbstractThe reaction of the differently chloro‐substituted 1,4‐benzoquinones (I) or (VII) with diphenyldiazomethane (II) leads to two sorts of products: (III)‐(V) and (IX), (X) arise from addition of (II) to the C=C double bonds of (I) or (VII) in the first reaction step, whereas (VI) and (XI) result from addition to the C=O double bond.
