AbstractThe title compounds (Ia) and (Ib) are synthesized in their racemic and enantiomeric forms as exemplified in the scheme: reaction a) of the derivative (IIb) obtained from the diol (IIa) with the compound (IV) or b) of (IIa) with the compound (VI) affords, after work‐up, separable mixtures of the diols (±)‐(Va) and (±)‐(Vb).
