Abstract

AbstractTreatment of the N‐methallyl lactams (I) or (IV) and the cyclic imides (VI), (VIII), or (X) with the carboxylic anhydrides (II) and aqueous perchloric acid gives the anellated oxazolinium salts (III), (V), (IX), (XI), and (XII) or the pyrylium salts (VII) depending on the starting materials.
