Abstract
Abstractobtained by annealing intimate mixtures of the binary oxides KO0.6, Li2O, and SiO2 (closed Ni tube, 8 d, 850 °C; K:Li:Si = 3.5:1.2:1), crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P21/c, Z = 8. Chains of edge‐sharing tetrahedra, alternating around Si4+ and Li+, parallel (010), are found to be characteristic for the structure.
