Abstract

This study was carried out to analyze chemical characteristics with the water collected from stem flow, throughfall, and rainfall in the subalpine region of Mt. Geumwon and urban industrial forest area located in Saha-Gu, Busan, Korea as a control. According to season and region, the pH in the subalpine region of Mt. Geumwon was higher in the spring. The electrical conductivity (E. C.) in the subalpine region of Mt. Geumwon was 1.06∼1.1 times higher in the autumn than the control forest area. In the control forest area, the E.C. was 1.8 ∼2.8 times higher than in the subalpine region of Mt. Geumwon in the rainfall.
