Abstract

Following 30.2 percent increase in 2011, the value (in current prices) of exports of hydrocarbons, nes, and their derivatives (SITC group 511) decreased by 0.6 percent in 2012 to reach 93.1 bln US$ (see table 1 and 2). Its imports reduced by 1.0 percent to 96.9 bln US$ (see table 1 and 3). The decline in exports of this product group was less than the 2.3 percent decline in exports of chemicals and related products, nes (SITC section 5) while world exports grew by 0.3 percent (see graph 1). Export of this product group accounted for 4.9 percent of world exports of SITC section 5 and 0.5 percent of total world exports in 2012 (see table 1).
