Abstract

AbstractSelf–charging devices integrating ambient energy conversion technologies into batteries are attracting extensive attention in interdisciplinary research fields. However, the integrated devices such solar/mechanical/heat chargeable systems rely on the accessibility of the energy and possess rather complicated configuration. In recent years, the chemically self–chargeable batteries and devices have attracted wide attention due to its self–powering functionality, simplified pact structure and environment adaptability. This minireview will focus on the connotation and denotation of the chemically self–chargeable batteries and representative applications beyond conventional energy installations.
