Abstract
Thymidine diphosphate N-acetyl-α- d-glucosamine and guanosine diphosphate N-acetyl-α- d-glucosamine have been synthesized by the reactions of N-acetyl-α- d-glucosamine 1-phosphate with the morpholidates of TMP and GMP. Both products have been purified by ion-exchange chromatography and paper chromatography, and analyzed by chemical and enzymic methods. Mobilities of the two sugar nucleotides on paper and thin-layer chromatography, and on paper electrophoresis, have been determined.
