That cancer is just one phase of the growth problem is so self-evident that it admits of no argument. The problem, indeed, was placed on the doorsteps of biologists in this form many years ago by many of the great pathologists. In adopting this point of view, when the staff of the Lankenau Hospital Research Institute was organized some twelve years ago, we were promptly confronted with the confusion in which the word "growth" was floundering, a confusion recognized by...Bibliography1.
