Abstract
A newly designed experimental apparatus has been developed to effectively depress the secondary reactions of volatiles, which are the primary products of thermal degradation of polymers. In this communication, we report that controlled thermal degradation of polystyrenes and polypropylenes leads to effective preparation of novel macromonomer-like oligomers and telechelic oligomers. © 2000 Society of Chemical Industry
