Abstract

Unsteady two dimensional free convective flow of a viscous electrically conducting micropolar fluid through a highly porous medium over a semi-infinite moving vertical porous plate, in the presence of first ordered chemical reaction and temperature dependent heat generation is considered. The plate is assumed to be maintained with constant heat and mass flux. A uniform magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the direction of the fluid flow. Analytic expressions for the velocity, angular momentum, and temperature and concentration distributions are obtained and their profiles for various values of the physical parameters are presented and discussed through graphs. Further, the non-dimensional shearing stress interim of skin friction coefficient at the plate is also derived and results are shown in tables.
