Abstract

By adopting the background field method, the response of the dressedquark propagator to the presence of finite chemical potential isanalysed up to the second order. From this, we obtain amodel-independent formula for the chemical potential dependence (up tothe second order) of the in-medium two-quark condensate and show by bothLorentz covariance arguments and explicit calculations that the \U0001d4aa(μ) contribution to the in-medium two-quark condensate vanishesidentically.
