Abstract
First reproducible results from potentiometric investigations with chromite electrodes on YSZ have shown a similar behaviour as the well known gold electrodes. Based on these experiences, oxide components particularly gallium doped lanthanum chromites with a perovskite structure and their chemical characterisation will be introduced. Several methods were used for the preparation of the chromite powders in various compositions. In addition, the structural and spectroscopic characterization and the results of potentiometric measurements of the corresponding electrode will be described.
