Abstract

Abstract A chemical injury consisting of a blue-gray discoloration developed on the cheeks and shoulders, but not on the calyx ends of Golden Delicious apples treated with DPA in dips or wraps. This injury was distinguishable from storage scald which was brown (in color) and occurred on the calyx ends and cheeks of fruit wrapped in plain or oiled paper wraps.
