Abstract

This article shows that reflection electron energy loss spectroscopy can be used to identify Li compounds with comparable accuracy as X-ray absorption near edge structure by optimizing the energy and energy width of the irradiated electron beam. This method was applied to analyzing the solid–electrolyte interface of Li metal, and the chemical state of Li could be examined directly without being affected by surface contamination.
