Abstract

AbstractWagatea spicata Dalzell, (family Leguminosae), (Vernacular Vakeri, Vagati) is a robust woody climber growing abundantly in Bombay State especially in Konkar jungles and on ghats near Mahabaleshwar. It is often confused with Caesalpinia digyna Rottler which belongs to the same sub-family Caesalpiniadae and has the same vernacular name.
