Abstract

Eleven compounds (1–11), including four sesquiterpenoids (1–4), two lindenane sesquiterpenoid dimers (5 and 6), a labdane diterpenoid (7), three flavanones (8–10), and a phenolic acid derivative (11) were obtained from the whole plants of Chloranthus henryi Hemsl. Structural elucidation of these compounds was established by means of their spectroscopic and spectrometric features. Compound 1 was a new cadinane-type sesquiterpenoid, while compounds 2–4 and 8–11 were firstly isolated from the investigated plant. Furthermore, the chemotaxonomic significance of the compounds was examined.
