Abstract

The hydrodistilled oil from the aerial parts of Chenopodium botrys L. collected from two different localities in Iran were analyzed by GC/MS. Thirty-five and 30 components were identified in the two oils representing 81.5% and 78.1%, respectively. The main components of the two oils were juniper camphor (16.5% and 25.7%), elemol (14.3% and 13.4%) and (X-cadinol (8.2% and 11.6%), respectively.
