Abstract
The chemical examination of the bark ofPlumieria alba Linn. by extraction with solvents and fractionation is described. Amyrin acetate (α, β-mixture), amyrin (α, β-mixture), β-sitosterol, scopoletin and plumieride have been isolated and characterized. Besides these, four minor components have been obtained in yields which did not permit closer examination.
