Abstract

This checklist applies mainly to planning the content of geology courses, and also to teaching and learning. The list asks the course planner, text writer, teacher, or even the student to consider a series of questions about Earth processes such as how, why, where, and how fast does the process occur, and why is it important. It provides a guide for the complete coverage of a topic in depth to ensure that nothing important is overlooked. The checklist also provides an integrated, systematic framework for teaching and learning by focusing attention on key aspects.
