Abstract

If we do not assume the existence of Mediterranean Cinema how would we begin to define it? This paper theorises, problematises and works to invent the idea of a Mediterranean Cinema as a theoretical construct. It proposes a new way to think the location of cinema – how cinema inhabits place and history – as a constellation of objects, perspectives, methods and disciplines.
