Abstract

A review of charm and dilepton production by neutrinos and antineutrinos is presented. A brief status of same sign dileptons is given followed by a detailed review of opposite sign data. Combined results for the three experiments, CCFR, CDHS and FMMF, are used to extract the strange sea content in the nucleon, κ = 2s/( u + d) = .492 ± .06 and the CKM matrix element, | V cd | = .204 ± .012. Preliminary results from the CCFR collaboration show that the x distribution of the strange sea is softer than the u and d sea and that the slow rescaling model describes the energy dependence of the charm cross section well with a charm mass of m c = 1.34 ± 0.33GeV/ c 2.
