Abstract

Chuck Gottlich (Figure ​(Figure11) was born in Dallas, Texas, on October 6, 1944. After graduating from Tulane University in 1966, he attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and graduated with the class of 1970. The University of California at San Francisco is where he finished his medical internship and first year of residency. After being in the US Air Force for a period of 2 years, he did a second year of medical residency the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School beginning in July 1974 and completed his cardiology fellowship there in June 1977. Since that time, he has been practicing cardiology at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas (BUMC). He has taught many medical houseofficers and cardiologists in training. Over almost two decades, he also taught houseofficers and cardiologists in the coronary care unit at Parkland Hospital. Dr. Gottlich is one of the good guys and a pleasure to be around. He and his lovely wife, Honey, are the parents of two very successful offspring.
