Abstract
Relative differential cross sections have been measured for the following two charge-exchange processes using a time-of-flight technique: (A) Li++Li(2s) to Li(2s)+Li+, and (B) Li++Li(2s) to Li(2p)+Li+. The measurements have been performed at ion energies E=0.5, 0.75 and 1 keV, and over scattering angles theta <or=1.3 degrees . The angular dependence of the cross sections has oscillatory structures: the structure for process A is attributed mainly to the rainbow scattering and the g-u interference effect, and that for process B is associated with the interference arising from the curve crossing between the Sigma u and Pi u states of Li2+.
