Abstract

Charged-particle-induced capture reactions play a crucial role in the understanding of primordial and stellar nucleosynthesis as well as of the evolution of various astrophysical scenarios. The experimental investigation of such reactions, in principle to be carried out over a wide range of energies and to as low an energy as is technically feasible (subcoulomb energies), often requires the use of novel experimental approaches.
