Abstract

We consider the production of two single charged Higgs bosons at TeV e −e − colliders within the framework of the two-Higgs-doublet extension to the standard model. If the relations among the masses and couplings found in the SUSY version of this model hold, we find cross-sections which are very sensitive to tan β= ν 2/ ν 1, and are highly suppressed by cancellations among the various contributions. In more general two-doublet models, the cancellations were found to be less important and generally larger cross-sections were obtained. Although the expected event rate for this process is small it provides a way to probe the details of the Higgs physics of the two-doublet model and the higher luminosities of e −e − machines may allow this reaction to be seen at statistically significant rates.
